Jen and Paul Castellani hiked out into the woods south of Anchor Point in 1994 and built their home.  The same ground that grew their home would also prove fertile for their farm.  Many stumps were cleared and the soil was good.   

We arrived with the idea of growing food and working close to home while raising a family.  While we weren't always able to stay close to home, when the Homer Farmers Market organized in 1999, we were right on board and our business has grown up along with one of Alaska's best farmers markets.  We haven't had a summer off since and we can't imagine being anywhere else.
